Verticals, lens choice and honest rooms

Small rooms are where amateur interior photography falls apart. Ultra-wide lenses stretch a basin into a trough, tilt the walls and make a well-proportioned bathroom look like a corridor. We shoot interiors on prime and mid-wide focal lengths, level the camera, keep verticals true and correct the remaining perspective in post so the room reads at its actual proportion. Where a space genuinely cannot be captured in one frame — a narrow guest bathroom, a scullery, a walk-in wardrobe — we photograph it in two considered frames rather than one distorted one. Nothing is stretched, nothing is content-aware widened, and the room the client walks into matches the photograph they saw.

Short-form video for the trade feed

Installers and designers live on Instagram and increasingly on TikTok, where a well-shot 20-second detail reel outperforms a carousel every time. We shoot the same job for stills and vertical video in one visit: a slow slide across the finished worktop, a rack focus onto a joint, a hand opening a soft-close drawer, the before-and-after cut from shell to finish where site photos exist. Clips are graded to match the stills, cut in 9:16, captioned, and delivered as separate files so a marketer can schedule a month of content from one shoot rather than posting the whole shoot in a week.
